Useful Grammar For This Quiz
As we learned previously (See above) nouns which end in a vowel form their plural by adding -s; those which end in a consonant form their plural by adding -es. Other special groups of nouns form their plural as follows:
a) Nouns which end in the letter -z change this z to c in the plural.
lápiz - lápices
vez - veces etc.
b) Nouns which end in -es or -is, without an accent, retain the same form in the plural as in the singular.
el lunes - los lunes
la crisis - las crisis
c) Nouns ending in -ión lose their accent in the plural (Examples: lección, lecciones; nación, naciones). Note, further, that all words ending in -ión are generally feminine in form.
la lección - la conversación
la corporación - la nación etc.
